Antique mahogany corner unit; gentleman's washstand, made in the early 1800s probably, though possibly even earlier. Late Georgian anyway. The top has a large circular hole and two smaller ones to hold a bowl and jugs etc. Someone has made a cover for it so it can be used as a side table or a plant stand etc; it just lifts off. There's another shelf below with central drawer and two false drawer fronts: interesting brass knobs, possibly original; a lion's head on the middle one. At the bottom is a shaped three way stretcher with a moulded circular central pot holder. Elegantly shaped front legs; shaped gallery on top. Condition is pretty good structurally: it's solid enough and there's little or no movement in the joints. Some chipping to the round holes in the top; a repair to one section of the big hole. Cosmetically there are various scuffs, marks and dings etc though not a great deal. There's a worn patch to the finish of the top shelf's cover (see pics).
